Strategy

This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy is Instream’s commitment to contribute to sustainable development, working with local communities and people around the world to ensure our products and projects have a net benefit to the people and places who use them.

Instream acknowledges that we live and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples, and live and work on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples.  

Instream adheres to 3 pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility:

  1. Health, Safety and Development of Human Capital

  2. Environmental Sustainability

  3. Engaging Communities and Stakeholders

 

All Instream employees and contractors shall adopt these pillars of Corporate Social Responsibility in all of their work.

Human Capital

  • Instream is committed to environmental protection and stewardship.

  • Encourage sustainability based on achieving a balance between the environment, society and the economy; considered essential to meet the needs of the present without compromising the needs of future generations.

Communities
  • Engage, learn from, respect and support the communities and cultures with which we work.

  • Behave with honesty and integrity in all activities and relationships with others and reject bribery and corruption in all its forms.

  • Conduct business in an open, honest and ethical manner.
